I’ve been waiting to make the first blog post here until I had some actual news to post, and today it finally happened… my manuscript was aquired by a real live publishing company!
GARDEN OF THORNS AND LIGHT, my first young adult novel, was officially picked up by Month9Books with an anticipated publication date of Fall 2020. The news went wide this morning in Publisher’s Marketplace:
Debut author Shylah Addante’s GARDEN OF THORNS AND LIGHT, a contemporary fantasy that promises to re-invent the fairy mythos, and follows Amethyst’s journey of self-discovery as she sprouts thorns and uncovers family secrets, to Georgia McBride at Month9Books, by Stacey Kondla at The Rights Factory (world English).
It’s been a wild year from signing with The Rights Factory to revising to submission to finally finding the right home for Amethyst’s story with Month9Books. I still can’t believe this dream is coming true, and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings!
